2020 Corporate Finance Information Sessions - February 2020

On Monday, February 10, 2020 the ASC held an educational seminar to highlight important observations from the 2019 Oil and Gas Review report and the 2019 Corporate Finance Disclosure Report at the Sheraton Eau Claire. This seminar was also shared via a complementary webcast for those unable to attend in person.
The 2019 Oil and Gas Review report is designed to provide insight into current disclosure issues and information worth noting, and is intended to assist oil and gas issuers in the preparation of effective and compliant disclosure. The session, in conjunction with the report, provided issuers with information regarding disclosure deficiencies observed by the ASC, including errors, omissions and potentially misleading information, as well as disclosure requirements with respect to NI 51-101 Standards of Disclosure for Oil and Gas Activities.The Corporate Finance session highlighted observations regarding disclosure outlined in the Corporate Finance Disclosure Report, including areas in which we identified disclosure issues such as liquidity and capital resources, non-GAAP financial measures and more. The session expanded upon the report and included relevant examples and reminders to help RIs deliver the highest quality disclosure and financial reporting.
