The Alberta Securities Commission was pleased to hold its fifth annual ASC Connect conference virtually on October 21, 2021.
With the conference theme of “For every challenge, there’s opportunity,” attendees heard from The Honourable Travis Toews, Alberta’s Minister of Finance, who outlined the diversified recovery that Alberta’s economy is undergoing amid the Covid-19 pandemic and a global recession. Industry experts shared their perspectives and insights on the opportunities present for Alberta’s energy sector, the capital formation and diversification possible through private and public financing, and the advancements in the investment and fund management sector in Alberta.
