The ASC wants your input on steps we can take to create more vibrant public and private capital markets in Alberta. On June 27, 2019 the ASC published ASC Consultation Paper 11-701 Energizing Alberta's Capital Market to summarize research and initial input on some preliminary ideas to enhance access to capital for Alberta businesses and create new opportunities for investors while still appropriately protecting those investors. These ideas were designed to spur conversation and elicit feedback on securities regulatory enhancements that might reduce red tape and improve access to capital.
On September 18, 2019 from 9:00-10:00 a.m. the ASC is hosting a webinar as part of this consultation. Please join us, and a panel of experts, to discuss the pros and cons of some of the ideas in the consultation paper. Webinar participants will have the ability to submit questions to the panel.
We encourage all market participants to provide input to the consultation paper through a number of ways, including by email or by completing this short survey. You can provide input until September 20, 2019.
