The Global Financial Innovation Network (GFIN) is an alliance of international financial regulators that collaborate to advance financial innovation to benefit consumers within their respective jurisdictions. The GFIN streamlines interactions between innovative firms and regulators to facilitate access to international markets and testing of new ideas. It also serves as a collaborative platform for sharing knowledge and policies to enhance regulatory responses to evolving technologies in financial services and promotes responsible cross-border experimentation.
The ASC takes an active role in the GFIN as a Coordination Group (CG) member. The CG directs the GFIN’s overall direction, strategy and yearly work plan. The group also establishes workstreams, evaluates progress, and reviews applications for GFIN membership.
The GFIN’s current focus areas are Crypto/Decentralized Finance (DeFi); environmental, social and governance (ESG); and artificial intelligence (AI).
